The five numbers in a crypto bonus
- Percentage. 150% means that for 100 USDT deposited you get 150 USDT of bonus.
- Maximum. How far the bonus goes. A 150% “up to 1.5 BTC” stops growing when the bonus reaches 1.5 BTC.
- Wagering requirement. How many times you must bet the bonus before withdrawing it. At 40x, a 150 USDT bonus requires 6,000 USDT in bets.
- Maximum bet. The most you can stake per round while clearing the requirement. Going over it once can void the bonus winnings.
- Time limit. How many days you have to meet the requirement before the bonus expires.

Example: the Vave welcome bonus

Say your first deposit is 200 USDT. The bonus would be 300 USDT and your balance 500 USDT. Which games count towards the requirement
- Slots: almost always 100%. Some with very high RTP or bonus buys are excluded.
- Table games: roulette and blackjack usually count at a low rate.
- Live casino: often counts 0%.
- Crash, dice, Plinko: depends on the casino; check the list.
- Sports betting: usually has its own bonus with a minimum odds rule.

Types of bonus at crypto casinos
- Deposit welcome bonus: a percentage on the first deposits.
- Free spins: spins on specific slots; the winnings usually have their own requirement.
- Rakeback and cashback: return part of what you bet or lost, sometimes with no requirement.
- Reload: percentages on later deposits.
- VIP programmes: tiers that raise limits and rebates.
- No deposit: uncommon and almost always with a very low withdrawal cap.
Bonus mistakes that cost money
- Accepting the bonus without checking the maximum bet.
- Playing live games thinking they count towards the requirement.
- Requesting a withdrawal with the bonus active and losing the bonus and its winnings.
- Opening more than one account to repeat the welcome bonus: every set of terms treats this as grounds for closure.
- Depositing more than planned to “make the most” of the bonus maximum.
Playing with a bonus safely
